Good news for those waiting for the musical tour through the world of Tundra – the geographical map of performers is constantly expanding. This time, pilgrims of electronic music will be rewarded with heady tunes by guests from all around the world: the sunny and remote Argentina, the rainy United Kingdom, the sensual and temperamental Italy, the elegant France, the vast Russia and a number of other countries. Festival goers will be able to explore the geography of music on the four main stages of the Festival: Psytrance, Chill Out, Techno and Bass.

This year, the Bass Stage will introduce the Dutchman Bong-Ra who is one of the most prominent ambassadors of broken beats and the pioneer of breakcore appreciated for powerful and ingenious sounds as well as extraordinary combinations of different music styles, such as jazz, jungle, gabba and even metal. Another exclusive guest to appear on the Stage will be one of the most distinctive acts from the UK and the winner of the BBC 1xtra Urban Music award – Illum Sphere. The master of music from Manchester is a professional producer and an idol for all fans of underground music. Illum Sphere is experienced in techno, dub and psychedelic scenes, while his bass music is very versatile.

The Techno Stage will be even more powerful this year. The exceptional British techno knight Casual Violence will hypnotise with deep, dark and organic sounds and speak to the audience through rhythmic energy, texture and atmosphere. The stage will also host the sensual Frenchman Kangding Ray, who promises loads of subtle rhythmic tunes saturated with mechanical sounds, voice experiments and a variety of instruments. The impression will be so strong, you can leave your smartphone in your pocket.

The Psytrance Stage will not disappoint the audience either. The ingenious artists from Argentina promise to deliver sessions of intense therapy of energy. Only a few among the fans of psytrance can resist Pragmatix and his mystical and dark sounds mixed with colourful and playful tunes, and skilful flirt with diverse musical structures. His colleague performing under the alias of Cosmos Vibration will invite the guests of Tundra to embark on a distant journey to unknown worlds. Travellers will experience everything from heady and percussive runway tunes to experimental fluid trips to indefinite dimensions. Together they will introduce a joint project titled Heterogenesis which will deliver fresh morning sound and soft, deep melodies that will take the audience to the latitudes and longitudes of new worlds.

After the Argentinean music lesson, the fans of psytrance will be instructed by two more masters of music: Dirty Saffi from the UK and M.M.C. Russia.

The Chill Out Stage promises warm music from the neighbouring Estonia and other countries. The 8-piece band Uus Energia inspired by the combination of reggae and traditional dub will create meditation music through deep sounds, drumming and live improvisation. Entheogenic from the UK, Peak from Italy and Lunar Vegetaran from Finland are among the other names to appear on the Chill Out Stage.

The Lithuanian act Avaspo promises to keep up with the foreign acts and bring an impressive show. This artistic/cultural project which is constantly changing and resisting any rules often introduces itself as a poisonous audiovisual snake. However, the organisers of the Festival managed to arrange that none of the visitors is bitten during the show.

Although the list of performers is still not exhaustive and more exciting names will be added, you can already start planning the routes among the diverse locations of the Festival. The six musical areas of this year’s Tundra – 4 main stages and 2 beach platforms – will host over 100 acts from Lithuania and other countries making the journey unforgettable.
