Meeting summer as we grow

The summer has finally arrived and the organisers of “Tundra” festival can’t wait to nourish the souls of the Festival visitors with the music created by many talented performers. To alleviate the waiting for the infinite dream, “Tundra” is launching its renewed website and revealing its rapidly growing line-up, which now includes quite a heap of world famous electronic music lions.Although it would be difficult to list them all here, a few of the outstanding artists must definitely be mentioned.

Ancient Methods – Trias (Ancient Methods, Sonic Groove, Germany) are one of the most famous representatives of harsh industrial techno. Ancient Methods sent shockwaves through the dance music underground few years ago with their eye-catchingly packaged EPs – First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Method. Their reputation was swiftly cemented when they contributed a track to a split 12″ from experimental-leaning British label RSB, and collaborated with Regis (Downwards/Sandwell District) as Ugandan Methods on Mat Oput – ½. Critics call their music ultra heavy & industrial, noisy atmospheric techno killer cuts, mind blowing extreme funky industrial techno with drone atmosphere. In other words, the German crew will hit you with a set of pitch black techno war funk.

In the Dub stage, the fans of broken beats and dubstep will be delighted to see Tony Williams a.k.a. Addison Groove a.k.a. Headhunter (Tempa, Swamp81, UK). Tony’s music transcends genres and the leading producer of the post dubstep scene will and hit the Festival with a booty shaking, head nodding set combining the sounds of dubstep and Chicago juke.

And there are two more news for those who intend to spend days and nights at the Psy Trance stage. Slavik Iskanyan with his project Dissociative born in 2001 will bring a load of psychedelic experience saturated with special effects and a synthesis of clear sound. Meanwhile, Tom Cosm (New Zealand), who has shown his dedication to music through long hours in his studio as well as through classical training, will share his sound which is – in his own words – immediate communication surpassing all other forms of human socialisation.

Lawrencium – the fan of extreme sounds and speed – will go beyond bpm counters in the Techno stage. Rebelling against the hardtek and frenchcore dominance in France, he was one of the first French speedcore live acts to join the European line-ups From the very first records, his powerful music combined with noise shocked the minds and ears of the audiences, while his album “No Important” proves there’re no boundaries in music.

Those are not the last news and we intend to present even more names to the fans of heavyweight broken electronic music.
