Since occasional compilation contributions caused a first stir of interest for Avalon only three to four years
ago, the project has seen a really meteoric advancement. Today the creative product of UK hailing Leon
Kane appears to be a reliable clue for highly energetic, highly frisky and -above all- highly intelligent Full On
music, as the thoroughly great feedback from all around the world is proving.

A closer look at Leon’s musical career reveals Avalon not to be his first attempt as a producer. He was
already very involved with the act Reality Grid together with Alex EVP from Wildthings Records before he
started the solo project. So his ongoing musical globetrotting has become kind of a long-year habit and took
him to both exotic and adventurous sites. Leon’s musical career reached another level when he signed with
Nano Records in 2009 and here his debut album “Distant Futures” was launched in late March. The bass
sections of his productions represent the energetic and driving aspects of life while the percussive elements
and spacey sound layers bedded onto them remain very light and easy and appear to be arranged quite
sophisticated and intelligent. Leon himself describes his very own mixture as “Funky, Full On Psy Trance-
with a twist!”
